Made in America

Made in America

Many of us have gone on line often in the past months, shopping… Amazon Prime, QVC – I even purchased prescription eyeglasses on line last month! Never has shopping been so easy, for almost anything we could possibly want or need. A few strokes on the key pad and within a few days, that kitchen utensil or pair of shoes is on our doorstep.

Much of what we order is made outside the U.S.. And yet some of our neighbors are struggling financially, especially if they had been employed by a manufacturer of a product that formerly was made in America.

Years of Service award programs have drifted toward the gift choice style of recognition. Typically, an employee who is eligible for a years of service award will be presented with a packet containing pages of photographed gift items. The employee will be instructed to either select a gift from the packet or to go on line to the supplier’s web site to see an expanded array of gift choices.

Often the selected gift is shipped to the employee’s home. Most of the gifts are manufactured outside the U.S.

We are inviting you to consider a new approach to your Years of Service program.

We suggest these changes:

  • Select awards that are made either totally or at least partially in the U.S.
  • Select awards that carry your organization’s logo, and/or recipient’s name.
  • Single choice – awards that can’t be bought, only earned.

By implementing the single choice, symbolic, and Made in America, award program, you will save on shipping costs. You are no longer shipping gifts to recipient’s homes. Now, you are shipping bulk to corporate locations for presentation by a supervisor or CEO.

Select from a category below and let us help you re-create your Years of Service program with strong, beautiful, and Made in America awards!

Crystal and Acrylic

No award allows light- both natural and artificial to dazzle the eye like a glass or crystal award. Close behind is the lucidity of acrylic. Logos can be etched, messages cleanly and clearly engraved, and product replicas can be embedded in these pieces to create a one a kind memento of the employee’s achievement.

Clocks and Watches

Some people say that the cell phone and the fit bit are replacing the wrist watch in today’s business world. But when first impressions are important, a classy looking wrist watch tells the world that good taste is still a key ingredient. When our customers want us to suggest the one award that will appeal to women and men of all age groups, the one item that fits every recognition need, our response is to select a nicely styled clock from our vast collection that can be engraved with the recipient’s name and a recognition message.

Lapel Pins & Rings

Napoleon once said: “Medals are funny little things, but they move men.”The medal, though still used in the military, gave way, after World War II, to the die struck lapel pin. From karat gold to plated medal, the lapel pin still offers an inexpensive, yet a very visible award for organizations. Pins can be engraved to show the number of years an employee has served, as well as a small jewel.

The gold or silver ring melds the symbolism of relationship with the achievement of the employee’s accomplishment- whether it be for winning the Super Bowl, for selling the company’s product and services, or just to commemorate the employee’s loyalty to the company over years. The ring is still the best carrier of the intrinsic value of precious metal and beautiful jewels.
